Connect to Work is an employment programme launched by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to help people in England and Wales find and keep work. Providing support to up to 100,000 people nationally, it’s a key part of the government’s Get Britain Working strategy to tackle economic inactivity.

Designed to help people overcome barriers to employment, the programme provides personalised one-to-one support to help individuals find and sustain meaningful work. Connect to Work integrates work, health, and skills support using supported employment  “place, train, and maintain” model to help people find and sustain work.

As a delivery partner on Connect to Work, we support participants who are already in employment to build confidence, access tailored job support, receive coaching and career guidance, and thrive in their roles.

What Is the Connect to Work Programme?

Whether you are living with a disability, long-term health condition or other complex barriers to work, Connect to Work offers practical support to help you move forward in your career.
Unlike traditional employment services, the programme focuses on personalised, long-term support, ensuring participants receive help not only to secure a job but also to succeed and stay in work.

Through the programme, you will work closely with a dedicated Employment Specialist who will support you throughout your employment journey.
