Many small businesses are seeing the impact of stress, anxiety, low mood, burnout and wider life pressures on their people. For SMEs and the self-employed, it can be difficult to know where to turn for support — especially when budgets are already stretched.
This free webinar will introduce the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service, a fully funded programme available across Scotland to support people who are in paid employment and experiencing mental health challenges.
Delivered by The Better Health Generation in partnership with Able Futures, the service provides confidential, one-to-one support from experienced mental health professionals, including Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Counsellors.
What is the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service?
Funded by the Department for Work and Pensions, the service offers up to 9 months of personalised mental health support at no cost to the individual or their employer.
Support can help people manage challenges such as:
- Stress and anxiety
- Low mood
- Burnout
- Grief and life changes
- Sleep difficulties
- Building confidence and resilience
- Managing mental wellbeing in and around work
The service is flexible, confidential and designed around the individual. Support can be delivered by phone, video or email at times that suit the participant.
Who is the service for?
The service is available to anyone in Scotland who is aged 16 or over and in some form of paid employment, including:
- Full-time employees
- Part-time employees
- Freelancers
- Contractors
- Self-employed people
- People currently on sick leave, where appropriate
Why attend?
This webinar will give you a clear overview of how the service works, who is eligible, and how Scottish SMEs can signpost their staff to fully funded mental health support.
